| La Crosse River The La Crosse River is just a short walk from the Caboose.
Remember your favorite swimmin' hole when you were young? Enjoy nature's "water park" during your stay at Caboose Cabins. The water is shallow (2-5 feet) with a sandy bottom and good visibility. Bring your inner tubes, rafts and life preservers. You can put your inner tubes, small raft or kayak in the water up river and float to the swimmin' hole and walk back on the trail. Note: The river is primitive, so bring water shoes to protect your feet.
